Annual Events

Annual Meeting - Our Saviour's Annual Meeting is held the final Wednesday of January. The evening begins with a meal at 5:30 p.m., followed by a business meeting at 6:30 p.m. 

Lenten Fish Fries and Services - Ash Wednesday through Easter. People come from all over to partake in Our Saviour's Lenten Fish Fries, served each Wednesday during lent beginning at 5 p.m. We stop serving in time for everyone to attend the 6:30 p.m. service. Confirmation students help serve and are also active participants in the worship services which follow a theme and often incorporate the creativity of the confirmation students.

Easter Sunday Breakfast. This is a major fund raiser for the youth. Planning begins weeks before Easter and culminates with multiple servings of a delicious breakfast, including an egg bake, a variety of coffee cakes and rolls, and Corn Flakes with vanilla ice cream and locally grown strawberries.

Softball and Dartball - Our Saviour's has teams which compete in the area church leagues. Softball is played during the late spring and summer months. Dartball is played during the fall and winter months.

Confirmation Camp - June 12-17, 2011. Confirmation Camp is a 6 day experience held at Waypost. It is a chance for our Confirmation aged children to experience real life applications for what they learn in Confirmation

Fairstand - Wednesday through Sunday, July 20-24, 2011. No visit to the Lincoln County fair would be complete without Our Saviour's famous pies, burgers and fries. From baking pies early each morning to cooking the burgers to taking orders--everyone can be involved. Sign up starts in early summer.

Vacation Bible School and Church Picnic - first full week of August. VBS is an opportunity for children from 3 years old through 5th grade to experience Bible stories in new and creative ways from storytelling to crafts to snacks and even games. VBS runs for 5 days. Children can be registered for VBS beginning in the early spring. People, aged 12+, volunteer to assist with the program.

Hanging of the Greens - after Thanksgiving and before Advent. Volunteers decorate the church building in celebration of Advent and Christmas.

Senior Choir Cantata and Sunday School Program - December. Both groups provide alternatives to traditional worship during Advent.
