Opportunities

Our Saviour's Lutheran Church has many volunteer opportunities. Each one of us is God's precious resource. We all have been created with unique gifts. We have talent, dreams, passion, and purpose. We all have been blessed with time, life, choices, freedom to serve, and God's light to guide us.

Adult Education - Including classes, studies, Lutheran Men in Mission, circles, and Women of the ELCA.

Adults Working with Youth - Chaperones, mentors, nursery volunteers, and mission trips.

Community Service - Bloodbank, Crop Walk, highway clean up, mission sewing and work with outside agencies.

Congregation Leadership - committee work, church council, fair stand board, librarian.

Drivers/Delivery - Shuttle people to and from church

Donations - Flowers, food baskets, funeral meals.

Office Help - Bulletin/newsletter work and assembly, copying, telephoning, word processing, money counter, substitute receptionist.

Praying - Prayer chain, morning prayer jam, world day of prayer.

Special Church Functions - Picnic, couple's group, dartball, Easter breakfast, fair stand activies, fish fries, Lutefisk dinner, hanging of the greens, softball team.

Visit Members - Home visits, Homme Home, hospital visits, inactive member visits, new member visits.

Worship Assistance - Alter Guild, banner making, communion assistants, greeters, readers, ushers, liturgist, nursing home worship assistants.

Maintenance - Carpentry, cleaning, yard work, painting, repair.

Music - Choir, organist, special music, Sunday School music coordinator.

Youth Education - confirmation, crossways camping ministry, Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, youth gatherings.

Youth/Student Volunteer - Acolyte, nursery volunteers. (Youth are also encouraged to participate in other areas in this list.)
